How Do You Calculate a Conversion Rate?
Divide the number of completed conversions by the total number of visitors, then multiply by 100. For ecommerce: take the number of completed purchases from your analytics platform, divide by total sessions for the same period, and multiply by 100. If your store had 8,000 sessions and 160 purchases last month, your conversion rate is 2%. Pull this from Shopify Analytics or GA4 — and always segment by device and traffic source before drawing conclusions, since blended rates routinely obscure mobile underperformance.
