Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 5, 2026

This is the privacy policy of BTNG Studio ("BTNG", "I", "me"). It explains what personal data I collect through btng.studio, why I collect it, and what your rights are.

I keep things simple. I collect the minimum data needed to run this business and I don't sell, share, or do anything shady with your information.

What I collect and why

Contact form

When you fill out the contact form, I collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message field. I use this to respond to your inquiry and potentially follow up on a project discussion.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to respond to your request, or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) when your inquiry relates to a potential project.

Retention: I keep contact form submissions for up to 12 months after our last communication, unless a project relationship begins.

Booking a call

When you book a call through Calendly, you share your name, email, and any notes you add. Calendly processes this data on my behalf. Their privacy policy is available at calendly.com/privacy.

Legal basis: pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Retention: booking data is retained by Calendly according to their own policy. I keep my records of calls for up to 12 months.

Newsletter

If you sign up for my newsletter, I collect your email address. I use it to send you practical insights about e-commerce UX and occasional updates about BTNG's services. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click, you're out.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Retention: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.

Lead magnet downloads

When you download a free resource (like a guide or checklist), I collect your email address. I use this to deliver the resource and may follow up with related content. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Retention: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.

Website analytics

I use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites.

All data is aggregated. I can see page views, referral sources, and general location (country level). I cannot identify individual visitors. Plausible's servers are located in the EU (Germany), and they are fully GDPR compliant.

No cookie consent is required for Plausible because no cookies are placed and no personal data is stored on your device.

Restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Data portability, meaning you can receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
