Getting started with BTNG is straightforward. The first step is a 30-minute intro call — not a sales presentation, but a working conversation about your store and what you’re trying to improve.
The intro call

Before the call, I’ll review your store independently: running through the purchase funnel, noting obvious friction points, and checking your GA4 or Shopify Analytics setup if you share access. The goal is to arrive at the call with something useful to say, not to hear about your business for the first time.
On the call, you’ll get:
- Initial observations about your store’s conversion situation
- A clear view of what type of engagement would address your specific needs
- Honest assessment of whether working together makes sense
If the fit isn’t there — wrong stage, wrong problem, wrong budget — I’ll say so and point you to what actually fits. The call is useful regardless of whether you proceed.
The engagement options
Depending on what comes out of the intro call, there are three primary ways to work together:
Research: UX audit — A systematic review of your store’s purchase funnel, identifying friction points ranked by revenue impact. Project work — Scoped engagement for a specific, defined project: a full product page redesign, a checkout optimization sprint, a mobile UX overhaul. Fixed scope, fixed price, clear deliverables.
What to prepare
To get the most from the intro call:
- Access to your analytics (GA4 or Shopify Analytics) — knowing your current conversion rate, checkout completion rate, and mobile vs. desktop split focuses the conversation
- Your current situation — what’s working, what isn’t, what you’ve already tried
- Your timeline and budget range — not a precise number, but a rough sense of what makes sense for your business
After the call
If there’s a fit, you’ll receive a proposal within 48 hours. Most engagements can start within one week of agreement.
The first deliverable from a research engagement is typically ready within 5-7 business days. For subscription work, the first design request is typically turned around within 48 hours of onboarding.
